Tubeless Steam Boiler

Working Pressure 10.34 bar G (150 PS1G)
Heating Surfaces
Heat is transferred from the combustion fases through the furnace walls and a series of vertical fins to the boiler water. To achieve maximum heat transfer a series of diverter plates drive the gases around the heating surfaces to give a total of 4 gas passes.
This highly efficient use of gas flows enables the boiler to reach operating pressure in a short time.
Access
The fireside is inspected through a series of removable doors situated at the top and bottom of the boiler. Water side inspection is achieved by doors opening directly into the boiler shell.
Design
The boiler is designed and constructed to ASME Code under the control of the companies 'U' and 'S' Stamp quality procedures.
The design of the boiler is approved by British Engine Insurance Company who also inspeced during manufacture.
Construction
The boiler is of vertical cylindrical construction and comprises shell plate, end plates, furnace and fins.
